Always stimulating and fresh, the BPP presents the seventh annual installment of Sex/Death. Sex/Death XXX (three x's to celebrate the BPP's 30th Anniversary Season) is a late-night showcase of short plays that pushes the envelope by challenging the conventional boundaries of theatre. With an arousing mixture of sexuality and morbidity, Sex/Death XXX is a superior production. From taboo to tender, Sex/Death reveals all.

This year, the BPP is offering 9 selections weaving tales of obsession, one-night stands, homicide, and unexpected imprisonment.

Pre Show by Allan Staples, Intermission by Allan Staples touches a bit on meta-theatre. Pre Show follows a couple on a date discussing the merits of art as a tool for sexually arousal. Intermission explores the decision to attend the theatre purely as a means to get laid.

What would you do if you had only an hour to be born, live, mate, then die? Speed Mating by David Guaspari delves into the intricate if not frenetic world of insect sex.

Accusations, Denials and a Box Cutter by Lawrence Rickel combines the best and the worst of kinky sex, obsession and the ramifications of telling the truth.

A Pressing Problem by returning Sex/Death playwright Rich Orloff shows what happens when a woman meets bad customer service when she calls a suicide prevention hotline.

Take a cup of old fashioned police interrogation, a dollop of dead baby jokes and a dash of David Lynch and you get The Babyman by the always sardonic Nick Moore.

Well, Here I Am by Travis Lampke is a dark look into how two strangers cope to understand their unsettling and unexpected imprisonment with an unknown and unseen captor. This social experiment bleeds into psychological trauma and leaves no prisoners behind.

If all wakes were like Ashes to Snatches, Dust to Bust by Kenyon Brown, they would be a lot more fun to attend. Two women battle over the ashes of their departed lover and discover they have more in common than just their taste in men.

Saturday Night Newtown, Sunday Morning Enmore by Alex Broun illustrates that regret is not an option when one has just had the best possible one night stand. Sweet and charming, if you have to have a fling with a stranger, this is the way to do it.

Sex/Death will not be confined to the Mainstage. As audiences enter the theatre, they will be entertained by The Anonymous Puppeteers of Hells Bells Puppets with ribald performances of lascivious marionettes including a tight rope walking penis.
