Anna Walker installs her work for the Sans Merci Gallery (November 2008)

Window Galleries

The Bloomington Playwrights Project seeks artists to create "mini¬galleries" in its window box at the theatre on 9th Street. Selected artists will receive a small materials stipend. Each installation will be up for four weeks before and during the run of each of the Mainstage shows in the season. This opportunity will provide a public art space within the Bloomington Entertainment & Arts District, showcase the work of local artists and further enhance the building's image.

GUIDELINES:

• Installations must incorporate the name of the play.

• Proposals should include a description of the proposed display emphasizing how it relates to the themes of the specific show and two to three examples of past works (JPG or PDF), emailed to Managing Director Gabe Gloden at bppwrite@newplays.org.

• Scripts for some of the plays are available to read upon request.

DEADLINE to Submit Proposals: Four weeks prior to the opening of each show.
