Submissions:

The BPP makes calls for scripts several times each season for productions of new American theatre. Please have a look at our ongoing opportunities to submit work through the Reva Shiner Comedy Award and the Woodward/Newman Drama Award.

The Bloomington Playwrights Project is a not-for-profit theatre with non-Equity performers. The theatre is a black box with 90 seats. While we welcome innovative scripts, sets should remain simple and flexible. Because the BPP is a script-developing organization, playwrights are expected to become part of the development process, working with the director in person or via long-distance. We urge playwrights to attempt to come to Bloomington for at least a portion of this process.
