The BPP has a long history of theatre education programs, including its annual MiniPlay Festival, the School of Dramatic Arts (SODA), and the Parks and Playwrights camp, part of the Parks Department's Kids' City program. The Youth Theater Ensemble Musical program made its debut at the BPP in 2001 with the successful musical Fiddler on the Roof, Jr., followed by Once on This Island Jr. and the Youth Theater Ensemble Shakespeare program made its debut two years ago with Shakespeare's The Tempest to sold out houses.

Those interested are encouraged to sign up soon as space is limited and these are some of the BPP's most popular programs.
