Blizzard Rewind
a lightning-fast evening of 31 super-short plays about each year from 1979 to 2009

To honor the last 30 years, we put a twist on one of its most beloved special events. Take a trip back in time with an evening of 31 super-short plays, each one written about a particular year between 1979 and the present. The Blizzard Rewind is short-attention span theatre at a breakneck pace. Hey, if you don't like one, it's already over!
The Blizzard Rewind features the work of 31 different playwrights from across the country. Six actors under the direction of Chad Rabinovitz will be performing each piece in a random order selected by you, the audience. Audience members will be invited to call out their favorite year and the actors will have to perform the piece associated with that year on the spot. To add even more fun, the performers will try to finish all 31 plays in under 80 minutes!
The BPP is dedicated to supporting local theatre, and providing avenues for local and national playwrights to produce their work. Blizzard Rewind will be the 7th such super-play showcase the BPP has produced in as many years. Each "Blizzard" serves as a special fundraiser for the theatre, and the Rewind is no different. In addition to ticket sales, the BPP raises money through play sponsorships.
